Consumer insight showed that there was a need to support local sports clubs which were suffering neglect over the pandemic. Greene King IPA set up the ‘Proud to Pitch in’ community fund which generates 10p of every pint sold in 2,000+ pubs and 50p from every 4 pack sold. Through their ActionFunder campaign, Greene King saw significant uplift in sales of IPA vs BAU, new content and PR opportunities across the business, and committed to £1m to be distributed by the end of 2023.
